Andres Cubillan is a Los Angeles-based Production Designer with extensive experience in both major and independent film and television projects. Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, Andres obtained his architecture degree from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). He initially worked at various architecture firms domestically and internationally before relocating to Los Angeles to pursue his passion for the film industry. There, he earned a master's degree in Production Design from the American Film Institute (AFI).
Throughout his career, Andres has advanced through the art department ranks, holding roles such as coordinator, assistant art director, and art director on numerous acclaimed productions including “Dreamgirls”, “Thor”, “Captain America: Civil War”, “Mindhunter”, “The Alienist”, “The Falcon & The Winter Soldier”, “The Stanford Prison Experiment”, “Being the Ricardos”, and “Red One”, among many others.
His notable production design credits include the Warner Bros. series “H+: The Digital Series,” the Netflix series “Gentefied,” and the Disney feature “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip.” Currently, he is serving as the production designer on the third season of "Interview with a Vampire" for AMC.
